It is 8.27.14 and I was searching for YOUR quote. I think it has much earlier roots. Adding to the article, IMO each statement is best evaluated by itself prior to combining:

1. People fear what they don’t understand
2. People hate what they can’t conquer
3. People fear what they can’t control
4. What people can’t understand, they call crazy

My focus is on #4. It is the known tendency of people to act on very slight inferences in absence of clarity. It ties into a legal concept known as "the Martha Mitchell Effect" which has various other names in the psych. biz.

It gets worse as proven 3w, RisePatriot dtcm. The more evidence a person provides the more crazy it looks.

Re: Applying Mills’ Sociological Imagination to Inter-ethnic distrust in Nigeria

Shouldn't you cite your reference in your blogs?

Re: Once upon a course in Princeton… Review of Coursera.org experience

Hi Antonio, I think there are prospects for sites like coursera to meet continuing education needs of baby boomers or people looking to get new skills and life long learners in general, as a replacement to college, not as much. The extrinsic factors of a college experience and peer influence aren't adequately replicated on sites like coursera. Maybe a generation is coming that it will work for though, perhaps.

Re: Amazon Prime… Air

Test 3

Re: Amazon Prime… Air

Test 2

Re: Amazon Prime… Air

Test

Re: Once upon a course in Princeton… Review of Coursera.org experience

Thanks for sharing your experience you seem to be very enlighten and well spoken. How would you rate coursera.org as a whole ? Do you think it's a good platform for learning for people who can't afford traditional colleges ?

Re: 5 Common Myths about Knowledge

This is a gem!

Re: On Hypocrisy…

It would be chaotic if everyone preached rules they didn't practice.
